This wasn't a pretty one. Livan Hernandez left the game one batter early due to being hit on the outside of his right leg by a comebacker from Ryan Zimmerman. He's fine, but the Astros offense and pitching wasn't.

Offense

This is the first time in six games that the Astros have been shutout offensively. Overall the team struck out eight times, avoided the walk entirely and were held to only three hits. Fernando Martinez, Jason Castro and Chris Snyder were the only ones to reach base and did so with singles.

Pitching

Hernandez, before leaving via the comebacker, had given up two runs on three hits and two walks in 2.1 innings of work. Lucas Harrell came in after Hernandez and pitched 1.2 innings issuing only one walk. Henry Sosa helped put the game out of reach with a less than stellar fifth and sixth inning. In two innings he allowed five runs on seven hits and one walk. Arcenio Leon started the seventh but failed to get an out after hitting a better, allowing a double and walking one. Henry Villar relieved Leon, pitching in a bases loaded situation he was able to get out of the inning only allowing one run on a force out. Fernando Abad finished the day for the pitching staff with one walk and one strikeout in one inning of work.

Defense

No errors, game on radio, that is all.
