I have started to wonder which older or non prospect minor league players could provide something that our Astros need. I'm thinking about guys who are too old to be real prospects but maybe have one good skill but enough flaws to keep them in AAA. However my knowledge of minor leaguers is limited to Astros' minor leaguers or star prospects. So I just wanted to start a discussion here about which AAAA type players everyone here at the Crawfishboxes would like to see the Astros get on the cheap. I'll go first. I have found myself wishing we could get Matt Carpenter from the Cardinals. He plays a needed position and has put up solid minor league numbers. Who would you like to see?
