At this point can't we consider the Toronto Blue Jays the bullies who took our lunch money so he could eat pudding. Even with Jose Bautista out of the lineup the pitching staff struggled to prevent runs. There was no media for this game so I am going strictly off the box score.

Offense

No player had more than one hit. The lone walk for the team belonged to Jordan Schafer who also collected a hit and two runs scored. He's continuing a pretty good spring and it's looking more and more likely that he'll be the opening day center fielder. Others colleting hits were Carlos Lee and Travis Buck, who both doubled, Angel Sanchez, Jason Bourgeois, Brett Wallace, Chris Johnson and Chris Snyder. With only three runs on seven hits and one walk not much exciting to talk about.

Pitching

Zach Duke did not help himself today allowing four runs in four innings. He gave up a whopping eight hits and one walk. Brett Myers, Brandon Lyon and Fernando Rodriguez all followed with an inning each of shut out baseball. Lucas Harrell and Fernando Abad finished the game allowing a run each. The silver lining is that the pitching staff combined struck out nine and allowed only one walk.

Defense

Reset the error clock back to zero; Angel Sanchez had his first of Spring Training at shortstop.

Friday

5:05 p.m. CST vs Atlanta Braves. MLB.TV is available as well as a delayed broadcast of the game on MLB Network slated for the 9:00 p.m. CST time slot. It will again not be on radio. I will be at this game for look for me on TV. I'll be the one wearing the Astros hat.
