Octavio Dotel will become the first player in Baseball history to play for 13 teams when he pitches for the Tigers this year.
It is almost hard to believe that this will be his 11th team since being a solid part of one of the greatest bullpens we may ever see. He pitched for the Mets in 1999 then for the Astros from 2000 to 2004(we traded him mid season to Oakland). I believe he will forever be a part of Astro history. He, Lidge, and Wagner were probably one of the greatest trios of relievers ever assembled. If we had the lead in the 7th inning the game was over. And how could anyone forget his contribution to our 6 pitcher no hitter against the Yankees. I am glad that he has had a long succesful career, but I suppose it has been unfortunate for him that he could not stay on any team(besides the Astros) very long.
