You're doing it wrong, Myers!
The Rockies lead off with a single (E. Young), followed by an RBI double (D. Fowler).

Just got back from seeing Moneyball at the theatre. And now I am faced with another evening without the Astros on television.
I liked the movie. Maybe a little different than I expected. It concentrates on Billy Beane’s life. But I thought the movie did a good job of giving a high level view of sabermetrics.
I want to see it. But, I doubt that if I could find a sitter to watch the kids for a night, my wife would be down for a movie about a baseball GM. Guess I’ll wait for it to come to Red Box
I saw some older women in groups of 2 or 3 at theatre, without any men. That struck me as interesting, given that it’s a baseball oriented movie. I am guessing that they are big fans of Brad Pitt. In general, I got the feeling that the crowd liked the movie. Brad Pitt brings a lot of power as an actor, and I think he became the sympathetic character that people liked.
Brad Pitt is underrated as an actor

Figures that Lee would decide to drive in runs when I'm in the finals of my fantasy league...
And he is on the opposite team.

I want to know too. I was listening to the radio broadcast, and Milo was conducting an extended interview about how Minute Maid Park discourages drunk driving which he didn’t want the game to interrupt. Milo simply let out a sigh of disgust and said “Oh my, an error.” Then he went on with the interview.

If he played even mediocre defense, he could start for somebody.

I got a sense from Rockies’ announcers that they didn’t like the Astros green lighting Martinez on a 3-0 count with this large a lead. The didn’t directly criticize, but seemed surprised.
And if the Rockies outscore us 8-0 from here on out, then what?

Heh. Rockies’ broadcasters are impressed by Johnson’s defense…“he’s got a great arm.”
He must have done something which makes up for the earlier error.
Great diving catch
Stands up and fires to 1st…great play!

Barmes HR.
I guess Rockies’ knowledge of Barmes’ weaknesses didn’t help there.

“This ballpark gives up a lot cheapies.”
I’m not sure that the Rockies radio broadcasters are in a position to complain about ballparks which give up too many HRs.

Me too. His fastball is good, usually 96-98. Has a really good breaking 81 mph curve. And then he's thrown 1 "changeup" at 90 mph.
I think he could become a good closer or set-up reliever

Left just before the game started and caught Moneyball
As a baseball junkie, I loved it. My non-baseball friends didn’t love it but appreciated the movie… My only complaint is that they didn’t get as much of the “inside a front office” aspects out of the story as I’d hoped.
