X-Man Called Up for ML Debut in Bullpen

Xavier Cedeno has been called up to provide another lefty in the bullpen. Sergio Escalona's injury probably was an impetus for this move. Cedeno, a 25 year old minor league free agent who didn't pitch last year, mostly has been used as a starter in the AA and AAA this season. He had a strong K rate this year, and it will interesting to see how he fares as a reliever in the majors. Escalona was placed on the 60 day DL in order to make room on the 40 man roster for Cedeno.
