Angel... Really???

This will be short and simple.  What the hell was Brad Mills thinking sending Angel Sanchez to the plate in an RBI situation to take the lead in the game instead of our main RBI man JD Martinez?  We had Bogey on 2nd with a double "2 Outs" and he sends Sanchez to the plate?? I swear I use to defend Mr. Mills, but he sure is making it hard for me.... Come on Man!!!

I don't understand his logic either.

That would make perfect sense to send Martinez up there. Also why are we not letting Michaels go and keeping Shuck on the team. Who cares if he is around in Sept, we need to see these kids play, plus they are much more entertaining. If he is keeping him for his right handed bat in the outfield just bring up Locke or someone from AAA in Sept. Right handed outfield bats are a dime a dozen. Let Bogusevic play everyday even against lefties, rotate Shuck and Shafer in center. Bourgeois is still a bench player for me, he could split time in CF against lefties since he hits them like crazy and pinch hit on other days. Hopefully in Sept. we get to see Wallace or someone take the majority of 1B and have Lee sit for a month or forever. ( i like forever personally).

I dont understand not having JD in the lineup in Colorado

We sit a power bat like Martinez in Colorado doesnt make a whole lot a sense in the first place then to send up Sanchez in an RBI situation. FIRE BRAD MILLS

I used to be a Brad Mills apologist....

but I think I’ve finally turned the corner on this particular issue. He absolutely makes strange decisions w/ his lineups, pinch hitters, and bullpen. I know he has been dealt a sorry hand w/ not a lot of proven major league talent, but I think the new owner should pick his own man for manager and GM. May I cast a vote for one of my favorite Astros, Art Howe? He’s been in a rebuilding situation before in Oakland, and did a really good job. Please, no Phil Garners. I’d rather have Bobby Valentine than Garner. Go ’Stros!

Dierker was a blow hard he was given some really good Astros teams and got us no where

Phil Garner?

He was given an old team that only got older and he took em to the playoffs for two straight years before some horrible GM decisions drove the team into the ground.

I’m not against Brad but I don’t understand him lately. I mean it was obvvious that Martinez was the better bat in that situation so he must have had a reason to not use him.
