Managers
After yet another late inning pinch/sub with Jason Michaels, I started daydreaming of Brad Mills getting fired at the end of the season (or sometime this off-season). The thought crossed my mind of what sort of managerial candidates/prospects are out there currently. I suppose there would still be some internal options like Dave Clark. Not much out there right now about possible managerial changes except for this article over at Bleacherport:

I can't think of too many unemployed guys out there right now except Valentine and I'm sure he's not interested. Any thoughts?

Dang it
meant to hit tab, not enter.
I would much rather have Asmus as a coach, but Im sure he doesn’t want anything to do with that either. lol JD wouldn’t be bad either.

If Mills were fired, I would expect Dave Clark would be the leading candidate to get the job. I’m not wild about Clark as a third base coach, but it’s possible it might be a decent manager.
Clarkie has always said he wanted to be a big league manager.
He was the interim manager after Cooper was fired, but that was it.

he led the hooks to the Texas League chcp after losing Ben Zobrist and Talbot.
If i were Arnold Rothstein id pay Ryan Braun all the money he
wants to stop going on homer streaks against the poor Astros....
am i the only one?

My vote for new manager...
…Carlos Lee! Anything to get him off first base.

Better him at first than in LF
"This is a simple game, you throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the the ball, you got it?!"
Or he could just write his name into the lineup at different positions
“Hmmmmm I’ve never tried second base before”

Tim Bogar
There are a lot of candidates you just have to look at coaches sitting on the bench or standing down the first and third base lines.

I think Biggio needs to get into the Astros system ...
… as a hitting coach or something and after a year or two of that get promoted to manager. I hope that he aspires to coach one day for the Astros.
Morgan Ensberg has said that he would like to coach.
Although, if pitching coach Brad Arnsberg were re-hired that could present some confusion. Coach Ernsberg! I mean, Ansberg, I mean… damnit!

I’d love Ensberg he sounds very up to date.

Whatever gets Mills out of town,
I’m all for it.
