Astros Minor League Recap

Well the trade deadline has came and passed and we now have a total of nine new minor leaguers (if you count the Keppinger trade).  With those trades, we've had a ton of movement between the majors and minors, so lets recap!

Corpus to Houston-Jimmy Paredes, JD Martinez, Jose Altuve

Oklahoma City to Houston-Brian Bogusevic, Luis Durango

Houston to Oklahoma City-Chris Johnson, Brett Wallace

Now, that's just at the major league level.  There is going to be a lot more movement as theses minor leaguers begin to filter in to their minor league clubs.  The big are where we will likely see a ton of movement is Corpus Christi with the pitching situation.  As it stands right now, there are seven starters; Dallas Keuchel, Henry Sosa, Erick Abreu, Ross Seaton, Jonnathan Aristil, Paul Clemens, and Brett Oberholtzer.  Plus, the Astros have said that Zach Cosart will also go to Corpus, which sends that group to eight.

Here is what I think is going to happen with some of these guys.  I think at least one, if not both, of Keuchel and Sosa will get moved to Oklahoma City pushing Brad Hennessey to the pen, since there are only four starters right now (Wright is spot starting).  I then think Erick Abreu or Aristil will be pushed to the pen.  There is bound to be some relievers being pushed to Lancaster or Oklahoma City, and I have to think somebody is going to be released between the three levels.
