Phuck it...

Call up Wallace! We have enough Rodriguez’s time to add some more Walls!

by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 7:11 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Wouldn't it be awesome!

He might struggle though. But no worse than Corporan / Towles (Yuck!!!).

Fire Brad Mills

by BustaPozee on Jun 22, 2011 7:15 PM CDT up reply actions

I was joking

But you actually just made a valid point. I wonder if it would have a Towles effect though, rushing him through the system, bypassing his training

by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 7:17 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Myers is definitely tradeable.

Just got Hamilton out. A contender (Yankees, BoSox) could use him in long relief if need be. Or as #4, possibly #3.

by YohannDookeyblue on Jun 22, 2011 7:26 PM CDT reply actions

Kinsler scores on a wild pitch...

Because the Astros can afford to give away runs.

by mike_o on Jun 22, 2011 7:28 PM CDT reply actions

Well Myers is a nice guy

He’ll give out runs to keep them from feeling bad

by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 7:40 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

The Astros are hard to watch offensively w/out Pence in the lineup this series

This just proves that if someone wants Pence…it’s gonna take a lot. B/c the front office can see how bad the offense is w/out him.

by Rhombus67 on Jun 22, 2011 7:40 PM CDT reply actions

Good point

And I think he’s bound to improve his ERA. There’s no way he continues to give up this rate of homers.

by Patrick Harrel on Jun 22, 2011 7:46 PM CDT up reply actions

I know we've said this before

But it’s so nice to have Kepp starting instead of Mr. Hall.

by Patrick Harrel on Jun 22, 2011 7:59 PM CDT reply actions

I was thinking the same thing

Of course a ten game hitting streak extended by a double solidifies that thought

by Joe in Birmingham on Jun 22, 2011 8:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Seeing the replay, I can see why Lee was hot about the strike call. It was substantially below the knee.

by clack on Jun 22, 2011 8:01 PM CDT reply actions

Rangers are playing Wallace like he can’t pull the ball to the outfield. This guy isn’t throwing that hard. I thought maybe it signaled inside pitches, but they pitched him outside and Wallace pulled it on the ground to the second baseman.

by clack on Jun 22, 2011 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

Sorry for all the pictures tonight

Thought they might ease the sting of the Astros’ suckage.

by Patrick Harrel on Jun 22, 2011 8:07 PM CDT up reply actions

Si señoir!

I was excited to see he was a 3rd rounder and did a little research when he was drafted. He apparently decided to finally realize his potential after 2 straight years of suckage. He could be a very nice bat for us but I question if he’ll ever be able to actually play the outfield

by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 8:24 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

I think I read we are going on...

9 games and counting without hitting a HR. This team is really struggling…

Yes, good morning!

rainy season is upon us here in Korea…kind of dreary day (kind of like our Stros this season).

The Astros are playing in one of the great hitting parks in baseball this week….and can’t even get a hint of a HR.

I wish Carlos played for the Rockies (obviously becasue he'd be off our team)

But then maybe the South Park guys would make fun of him. Like they made fun of Jay Cutler. They’d probably call him Shitty Lee. … They made Basketball, so they know their baseball I imagine.

by YohannDookeyblue on Jun 22, 2011 8:42 PM CDT reply actions

They keep showing Jason Michaels fielding balls after they hit the ground

I wish they were replays and not a parade of hit s to left

Astros fan for life

by Joe in Birmingham on Jun 22, 2011 8:45 PM CDT reply actions

I thought Michaels made a really good play on that ball that bounced off the LF wall a couple of innings or so ago.

by clack on Jun 22, 2011 8:49 PM CDT up reply actions

Exactly.

It wouldn’t take much. Just have him eating McDonalds during the game and ignoring fly balls that land right in front of him.

by YohannDookeyblue on Jun 22, 2011 8:46 PM CDT reply actions

Wallace is 0 for 19, and that defensive play robs him of a sure line drive single.

by clack on Jun 22, 2011 8:54 PM CDT reply actions

As I recall, the Astros used him as a starter for 1 game when he was first called up three years ago. He was terrible during that first call up, but you could see the potential of stuff.

But at least when the average dips, there will still be power potential.

by MadMartygan on Jun 22, 2011 10:03 PM CDT up reply actions

Cj seems to be very slowly, steadily improving with his offense and defense though.

Jeff Bagwell gave him a his seal of approval, so I don’t think we should give up on him just yet.

by YohannDookeyblue on Jun 22, 2011 10:05 PM CDT up reply actions

CJ

Had a terrible April, but has improved in May/June. I agree last year was fluky but see no reason why CJ can’t hit .270 with 15-20 bombs.

Sanchez was used as PHer already.

by clack on Jun 22, 2011 9:57 PM CDT up reply actions
