I looked at the roster for OKC and saw who we had at catcher... yuck.
Are Frostad and Hernandez (Corpus) any good?

Phuck it...
Call up Wallace! We have enough Rodriguez’s time to add some more Walls!
by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 7:11 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
Wouldn't it be awesome!
He might struggle though. But no worse than Corporan / Towles (Yuck!!!).
Fire Brad Mills
I was joking
But you actually just made a valid point. I wonder if it would have a Towles effect though, rushing him through the system, bypassing his training

Looks like Hooks are gonna try and play tonight. Rained all day here. About 20-30 minutes
til they might try. working on field.
Myers is definitely tradeable.
Just got Hamilton out. A contender (Yankees, BoSox) could use him in long relief if need be. Or as #4, possibly #3.

Well Myers is a nice guy
He’ll give out runs to keep them from feeling bad
by Its Gonna Happen on Jun 22, 2011 7:40 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
The Astros are hard to watch offensively w/out Pence in the lineup this series
This just proves that if someone wants Pence…it’s gonna take a lot. B/c the front office can see how bad the offense is w/out him.
This is a trial of what it would be like if we moved Pence
It would be tough.

That goes without saying. NO trading Pence for say a Bill Hall or Pedro Feliz
types of players. Hear me Wade?!
Pence is so young
We need him so we can build players around him in the future. I am definitely opposed to trading him.

He's almost 29 if not there already. He'll be at least 31 if not older by the
the time this team is hopefully contending again. Why not trade him and get what you can build for the future?
Myers is tradable based on one thing that hasnt really changed this year
he eats innings
Firesale! Everyone must go!
Good point
And I think he’s bound to improve his ERA. There’s no way he continues to give up this rate of homers.

Seeing the replay, I can see why Lee was hot about the strike call. It was substantially below the knee.

I was excited to see he was a 3rd rounder and did a little research when he was drafted. He apparently decided to finally realize his potential after 2 straight years of suckage. He could be a very nice bat for us but I question if he’ll ever be able to actually play the outfield

There are made from trees with steel rods nailed in them
It takes a while but after 15 years or so, the tree grows around the steel. Then they harvest the tree along with the bat with the rod in the middle.
