Wow. I guess those high pitch counts were too much for Wandy's elbow, but Jordan Lyles will make his major league debut on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs (h/t to Astros County).

Also

If they are bringing Lyles up dont you think they should shake things up from top to bottom in the farm system. Lets make this our mid year,

Not a fan of the move. But now that it’s done, I cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I hope that the wind isn’t blowing out at Wrigley for his debut.

I’ll be cheering for success but hope that he will return to AAA for more seasoning once Wandy comes back.

I am excited

Do I think he’s ready? I think he’ll handle it okay. But I also wanted him to keep playing in triple A so when he does get called up, he’ll be 100% ready. But they called him up now. I want to see him pitch so, it will be exciting to see what he can do.

Gustavo Chacin is starting tonight.

So I think he is taking Lyles’ spot in the rotation.

I think he took VIllar’s spot.

Chacin and Arguello switched spots. I think Figgy took Villar’s spot.

I'm not a fan of the move.

but i will admit, I am pretty amped to watch him pitch.

Wow

I just pulled up TCB to read some more of Timmy’s Saturday’s links and did not expect to see this. I don’t really know what to say. I only read the headline and immediately checked the Astros website to see if he was pitching in Houston so I could by tickets, but that’s not the case. If he stays with the big league club throughout Wandy’s DL stint then he will make his home debut against the Braves I believe, and I would be there. I am definitely excited to get to watch him, but really wished they would have gave him this year in the minors. Like want others have said what’s done is done so now I will hope for the best.

As far as the minors shakeup comments go, I was originally against that type of thinking, but now I’m not for sure. What purpose does Figgy and The Hyphen serve if there not called up in this situation. They are depth in case of injury to keep from burning a prospect. If your not going to use them in that capacity then what purpose do they serve. I guess they are for emergency only now.

Yeah he did. Q went on the disabled list. Wonder if they will pair Cancel and Lyles together since their is some familiarity there.

Not too happy about this, but what’s done is done. Hopefully it’s only for a short time and he ’s on an innings cap, which I would assume would be the case anyway.

Will I ever get to where I'm going?
If I do, will I know when I am there?
