There have been a few post recently of people talking about possible free agents for next year to help the team not be a complete disaster in the first year of Crain's ownership. Of all the names mentioned there is only one that I think i agree with that in my mind would make some sense is Roy O. Couple of reasons for this.

1. He should come on a short term deal for a reasonable price. This is not a for sure thing as im sure if the Phills dont go all the way hes going to want to try and stick with a true contender but if he is willing to return for the right price i see no problem with having him lead our rotation.

2. He would be a great role model for Lyles. Even if Lyles isnt called up this year he will for sure be on the team at some point next year. If Wandy and Myers both get traded like many want to restock the minors there wont be a true leader in the rotation to help him through his early years. Norris has showed so far this year that he is probably going to be the guy in the rotation to build around but is still very young himself and not a true role model for the very young Lyles.

3. He will get one last shot to be the all time wins leader for the astros, a record that is rightfully his due to the fact that he would have blown it away if he had been getting any type of run support over his last 2 years with the stros.

I think it would be a great chance to increase the fans again and help our young pitchers along with helping the overall team win. Your thoughts........
