Tinkering with the Lineup

I've been thinking about how the lineup is being put together lately & have wondered how it could be made more efficient. So I've been tinkering with a lineup I would be pleased with and that I think would be more efficient than the current lineup.

A change I would make is moving Big Bad Wallace to the cleanup spot in the batting order. Carlos hasn't been getting on base at a good clip & I feel he is leaving people on base all too often. Brett Wallace has been hitting a lot of doubles & has been getting on base these past weeks and I think he could drive in some more runs than what Carlos is doing. Then when Carlos does hit a homer or whatever, perhaps there will be more runners on base to be driven in. Since Carlos doesn't hit a whole lot of home runs compared to other home run hitters, I think playing more small ball in moving Wallace up would be a better idea for this team since that Carlos would be more likely to get an out rather than get on base or drive the run in than other power hitters.

Another change I think is necessary is moving CJ down to the 8th spot in the batting order. More than enough times have I seen CJ end an inning with runners on base. I feel very confident in Q & Towles in their hitting to justify moving them up in the batting order until CJ gets into his swing again.

So here is the lineup I have produced:

1 Bourn, CF
2 Barmes (Sanchez), SS
3 Pence, RF
4 Wallace, 1B
5 Lee, LF
6 Hall, 2B
7 Quintero / Towles, C
8 Johnson, 3B
9 Pitcher

So what do y'all think?
