Isn't the point of a fifth starter to conserve the bullpen? Or is the bullpen supposed to heavily support those last starters in the rotation?

Either way, Nelson Figueroa let us down. That's two straight starts now he's underperformed from what he did last season. It's almost like last season was a small sample size and we shouldn't have expected it to continue...

I'm too irritated to talk much about this game (why must you lose to the Cubs?? The CUBS!!), so instead, I'll raise a question. Is Joe Inglett this year's Jason Smith? Or, does Inglett have value that just hasn't surfaced yet, despite him playing quite a bit this season?
