29 Trades for 29 Teams
There's this cool trend going on at a couple of other SBN blogs, 29 trades for 29 teams. Here's the link:

It would be cool to see what kind of value there is for some of our players here in Houston, especially Wandy, Myers, and Lee. And it would get some bonus action here on the boards while we wait for Luhnow to evaluate the system. What do you guys (and gals) think? Pretty neat.

Trade Proposal
Lee, Myers (Astros paying half salary for this year for both) and Wandy (Astros paying 1/4 salary for this year) for prospects Dellin Betances (RHP), Manny Banuelos (LHP) , Jesus Montero ©, Slade Heathcott (OF) and Cito Culver (SS). Obviously that might be a tad unrealistic but I just wanted to get the ball rolling. Those are my favorite prospects for the Astros, they also have a switch hitting 3B named Bradley Suttle that is interesting. Anyways which minor leaguers would you substitute for that kind of deal?
I saw this quote from a Jonah Keri article about the Yankees:
Though they might still get dealt at some point, Cashman’s refusal to sell too quickly on pitching prospects Manny Banuelos and Dellin Betances has resulted in both pitchers maturing into hot commodities with big value to both the Yankees and potential suitors. When the team does decide to part with a top prospect, it can only be if an excellent player offering multiple years of team control is available, the way Curtis Granderson was after the 2009 season.
Jonah Keri also wrote another article recently contending that prospects are now over-valued in trades. I’m not sure if he is right, but that’s bad luck for the Astros that they are now on the “prospect” side of trades at at time when you have to pay a premium to get prospects.
Add in Sabathia with the Yankees paying 3/4ths his salary, and maybe Cano and Gardner, and maybe it is fair.

There is legitimately no chance the Yankees even consider that deal. Even if you take out Montero they wouldn’t do it.

I love your idea...
..but it’s a little far fetched.
I believe any trades involving Lee and Myers will just be a salary dump and whatever we get is what we get. Wandy is the guy who we should get at least 1 good prospect for. I’m not saying only one player but one good one in the deal.
Neither
can be traded until August. Must be 12 months after they signed before they can be traded.

Marlins
Marlins – Wandy Rodriguez +
Astros – J.T. Realmuto ©, Kyle Jensen (OF), Grant Dayton (LHP)
Yankees
Yankees – Wandy + $6 million
Astros – Gary Sanchez C, Brett Marshall RHP, D.J. Mitchell RHP
Tigers
I saw this proposal on another forum.
Astros get Drew Smyly, Jay Voss, Duane Below
Tigers get Wandy Rodriquez and 10M
I like the prospects, but I don’t know if the Astros would pay $10 million. That’s Wandy’s entire 2012 salary. What do you think?
Close but not good enough for Houston to eat that much $.

Prospect info
Smyly LHP Grade B (according to John Sickels)
Voss LHP Grade C+
Below LHP Grade C
Still smoke about Lee being shopped.
Here’s 2 ideas:
1. Carlos Lee and $14M to Cleveland for 3B Ronny Rodriguez. Not an elite prospect, but fills a need in the system and he was voted best defender in the Indians’ system.
2. Brett Myers and $9M to Colorado for SS Josh Rutledge. Could be moved to 2B in AA and fill a need. Again, not an elite prospect, but would fit firmly in the top 30 of Houston’s system and is a very viable talent.
Both trades would require Houston to eat a LOT of money, but those 2 moves would still save Houston $6.5M this year ($4.5M for Lee and $2M for Myers) and another $3M next year (for Myers’ buyout).
