An interesting stat

I discovered looking at the standings this morning. The Astros have the second best division record of any team in the National league and the third best division record in all of baseball trailing only the Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins.

Minnesota Twins - 43-20

Cincinnati Reds - 43-27

Houston Astros - 42-27

The next closest team is the Tampa Bay Rays at 39-26. I found this kinda surprising considering the season we have had or at least the way the first half went.

Also the Astros are 55-43 since the 17-34 start to the season. If they can finish 9-4 or better then can end the season 81-81 which is a good accomplishment considering the 17-34 start. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for next year.

Thank you for your time.
