Astros lose in extras to the Dodgers 2 - 4

You can add me to the list of TCB writers who put a curse upon one of the players. Earlier today I had a Rookie Review of Wilton Lopez . The result? Wilton Lopez came in for a 1.1 IP giving up two hits and 1 run. Maybe it's a bit of regression for Lopez, but I won't hold it against if you blame me.

The first Dodger run scored in the top of the 5th with JA Happ in the game. Rod Barajas singled to start the inning who was then sacrificed over by the pitcher Hiroki Kuroda and scored on a soft fly ball to left field. This would of been a good day to give a Carlos Lee a day off. Another outfielder wouldn't of necessarily gotten to the soft fly ball, but they certainly would of had a chance at it.

The Astros quickly responded in the bottom half of the inning with singles by Angel Sanchez and Brett Wallace. Michael Bourn blooped one into center to score Sanchez. Wilton Lopez came in for the top of the 6th and coughed up the lead again giving up a leadoff triple to Matt Kemp. Who was then driven in by Jay Gibbons.

Wallace doubled in the 7th, which setup a Bourn single to right to tie the game with pinch runner Anderson Hernandez, who had replace Wallace, scoring. I'm off the hook! Bourn get's his second RBI.

In extra innings with one out in the 10th Bourn hit a triple to left centerfield, off Octavio Dotel. Kepp struck out swinging, and Hunter Pence came to the plate with his 10 game hitting streak on the line....Pence struck out.

In the top of the 11th with Kemp aboard Jay Gibbons smoked one into the Astros bullpen for a homerun off Fernando Abad. After Abad walked the next batter, he got dotel out on bunt attempts, Henry Villar was called in to make his debut. After a weird error in between he and Carlos Lee allowing Rafael Furcal to reach, he struck out Jamey Carroll swinging.

Dotel came out for the bottom of the 11th inning, and after a two pop outs and error he struck out Angel Sanchez swinging to win the game. It was the second win of his career against the Astros.

Because I can't think of a poll question in regards to the game I've decide to pick on David.

Epic poll! I voted cyborg since David self-proclaimed himself as such, but I can see the case of him being a robot with emotion and the ability to learn.

Ain't gonna win many ballgames if

Bourn is the one driving in the runs.

Wallace 2-3 that’s something. Another good start by Happ. Some positives, some negatives.
