In honor of those who believe in the TCB curse our esteemed writers are seemingly applying on our players, I've decided to try and spice it up a bit this evening: here's a short homage to Adrian Gonzalez!
San Diego Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is a force to be reckoned with at the plate. He's got quick hands, a good approach, and most importantly, a pretty pretty swing.

On top of his offensive strengths, he's no defensive slouch, either. His UZR/150 is at 6.7 at this point in the season, and to make things even better: he's only making approximately $5 million this season. For those of you keeping score at home, that's only half a million more than our very own Pedro Feliz.
So, there you go. Adrian Gonzalez is good at baseball. I think he's going to continue to get better at baseball. I wish he played baseball in Houston a little more often (I'd prefer 81 times a year).
Let's see how this curse stuff works out on the other team.
