Oswalt Not In Dodgers' Plans...and More Trade Tidbits
An LA paper says the Dodgers currently aren't considering a trade for Oswalt because the Astros insist on the trading team picking up his full salary. While we're at it, this CBSSports report expresses doubt that Oswalt will be traded due to too many impediments to the trade. Also, in other news, here is the chron.com article on Oswalt saying he would accept a Yankees' trade. However, a potential obstacle to trading Oswalt to the Yankees is the Bronx team's interest in Clff Lee. The Mariners are already scouting the Yankees' farm system, says the NY Post; and the same article says the Yankees are scouting the Astros, in case Berkman becomes available.

A question or two
Is it a possibility that McLane keeps Oswalt and picks up Berkman and Myers? Maybe sign a vet 3B and bench guy, then run it back in 11’ with a new founded “championship” attitude.
How would you feel about that and what do you think the avg Astro fan would feel about that?
My first mistake was assuming you knew what I was talking about.
smokescreens
no team is going to show who they’re completely interested in at this time
