Bullpen falters as Astros lose another to Phillies; Evan finds the Astros' 2010 Anthem
The Phillies did what they usually do.
The Astros did what they usually do.
Bullpen bad.
Phillie hitters remarkable.
0-5.
Halladay tomorrow.
Yikes.
This is why everybody hurts:

Fifty bucks they beat Halladay!
But seriously, call me delusional but I can’t see why this team is cellar-dweller bad. Maybe they’re second-last bad, but somehow I see an offense that isn’t that bad with talent (situational hitting and OBP on the other hand…), not a terrible pitching staff (Roy, Wandy and some LAIEs) and a bullpen that doesn’t defy logic in its crappiness. Maybe I’m wrong…
Remember to retire Fin's number, Mark.
You are NOT wrong!
Seems like only a few people haven’t given up on us yet. Actually, most people wrote us off before we started. The Astros just need to wake up. I predict that tomorrow we will beat Halladay, go into St Louis and win the series, then go to Chicago and sweep the Cubs for a 6-6 record. Would that be so bad? Does that sound impossible?

I REALLY hope both of you guys are RIGHT!!!
But my wife tells me there’s a fine line between optimism and disillusionment….she’s probably right, she’s right about everything else :-(

Free swinging team needs OBP lesson
We need Lance Berkman…and a hitting instructor who will tell the guys that a walk is just as good as a hit sometimes.

In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
