It's 1-1
Puma had a GR-2B RBI and Wandy apparently just gave up a run.

A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

True, but I seem to remember most of us getting a little edgy when it looked like the Astros might go winless last year.
I haven’t been able to listen, but it appears that Bazardo got beat up a bit. Gave up a 2 run HR, and 3 runs in 1 inning, according to live boxscore. Tigers now at 10-5.

Man that is ugly.
I am glad that something like that happened in a spring training game and not in a real game, even if it was an AAA game.
Miss-placed Houstonian living and going to school in the wilderness of Wyoming. Fresno St. 28 - Wyoming 35 (2 OT)!!! Hands down best game I have ever been to.
Astros lose 17-7
It’s only a spring training game.

We're doomed
It’s going to be just like last spring training last year: huge losing streak.

….like you said, the minor league record is meaningless anyway.
I’m impressed with T.J. Steele getting a clutch double, by the way. He’s coming off High A ball.
The Astros pitching is starting off fairly rocky. But sometimes the pitchers need some work to get in synch. Trinidad isn’t likely to make the big league club this year anyway. I didn’t hear or watch his stint, but he is a soft tossing pitcher who really has to be sharp on his command to survive.
Astros won the 'B' game against the Tigers, by the way, 4-1.
Fallas has this message:
Astros P Felipe Paulino in his B Game start: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO, including striking out the first 3 he faced.
McTaggert's write up on the B game...
indicates that both Wade and Tal Smith were at the game to watch Paulino.
In the first inning, he struck out all three batters he faced, throwing only 11 pitches. He was throwing strikes at the knees and consistently at 95-to-96 mph on the radar gun. He touched 97 mph in the second inning, but he lost his command and walked two batters.
When he was done, he had thrown 42 pitches (21 strikes) and allowed one run and one hit.
“I feel great,” Paulino said. “It’s my first time out in spring training and I’ve been working on my mechanics with [pitching coach Brad] Arnsberg on the windup, but I feel great. I’m trying to put all the work and get it together to start the season.”
