Back in December, there was a post about a documentary called "Boys of Summer". This movie, produced to raise money to combat Parkinson's Disease, chronicles a father's trip with his adult son to all 30 Major League stadiums during the summer of 2004. I gave a copy of this movie to my parents for Christmas and finally got to see it myself this week. The baseball angle of the film is neat, but more interestingly, it provides some insight into life with Parkinson's Disease. The father is a Parkinsonian and several segments of the film include interviews with other Parkinsonians who the father and son met on the trip. According to the film's notes, a minimum of 50% of the proceeds from sales will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
