On every website I go to, Astros fans are disagreeing on if the Bill Hall signing was a good move, and I am going to try to put an end to it. I am going to compare stats between Hall and Keppinger to see who really is the better option. All stats are from the 2010 season and are from www.baseball-reference.com.
Oh the jump, I don't know how to use this... I'll just ignore it I guess.
Bill Hall's stats are adjusted so that they are even with Keppinger's at bat #s.
Hall had 382 plate appearances, Keppinger had 575.
Note that Hall's numbers were with Boston

In my opinion, I would rather have Hall playing second, considering the fact that to win ball games, you have to score runs, and Hall produces more runs on a team that is lacking run production. The downgrade of defense is okay in my opinion, it will be made up in runs.
What do you guys think?
