Larry Walker is surprisingly strong as a HOF candidate. (As noted in the article, the BBWA may “ding” him for hitting in Coors for part of his career.) One reason I bring this up, is that Larry Walker is Lance Berkman’s nearest comparable at BBRef.
That photo of Bags
gets quite of bit of usage.

A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The more postive word of mouth about Bagwell the better
I guess I have an inferiority complex about the world appreciating the Astros and its players. I worry Bagwell will be underappreciated by the East Coast and northern writers.
While I think it would be cool to see Bagwell and Biggio enter the HOF together, the thought of Jeff Bagwell making it on the first ballot really excites me.
