Cardinals may clinch NL Central title tonight
if Cardinals win AND Cubs lose. Both teams are in scoreless games so far.

If we try really hard
we can get 90 losses!

It'd take a 2-9 finish
Cardinals (tonight) , Reds(3) , Phillies(3) Mets(4)
maybe
Hope not
Of course, they may reach 80 wins

Very nice double play
With the runner on first running, Smoltz bunts down the first base line.
Berkman in what looked like an ill-advised throw goes to second to get the runner out there. A quick relay throw back to first gets Smoltz for the double play.

Bud probably deserved at least a couple of earned runs the way he pitched
But I’m not arguing. A shutout’s a shutout!
Yeah - Cardinlas kept runners on base
