fantasy championship?

How did that AL-only league turn out? Are we doing some sort of world series as previously planned?

The NL league is done. I'd like to say it was competitive but it ended up being a two man race for the most part.

If the AL league champion wants to play this week (2 week series) let me know. We can calculate manually or find a way to do it.

I don't think that's it official yet,

but I think I have won the AL-only league. My stattracker has me barely pulling it out after an extremely close final matchup.

Hopefully, we can still have the championship “world series”, however, that might be difficult to do manually since we’re doing the daily lineup changes. For example, even though there is only 5 starting pitching spots, most teams just rotate like 7 or 8 starters.

Either way, it’s been a fun season, at least fantasy wise that is…

I'll be honest

I haven’t followed the NL league like I should be, and I don’t know if DQ has done his part with the AL league. That doesn’t mean the guys who win each shouldn’t get to play some sort of WS. If you guys can either: a) remind me what we said at the beginning of the season as far as a WS or b) if you have a better idea, let me know and I’ll do what I can to help. Again, sorry about dropping the ball on this one.

I'm calculating the scores by hand this week

I’ll announce the winner on Monday.

A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Lineup

Damn, that’s a pretty stout team for a NL-only league. But then again, if we look at the last dozen or so All-star games, hopefuly the AL can pull it off again.

By the way, I was pretty pissed when I lost Cliff Lee and Matt Holliday when they got traded to the NL, so the fact that you have Holliday on your team really makes it hurt. The fact that Bedard and Michael Young are hurt also almost killed me. Just another reason why these AL-only/NL-only leagues are kind of bullshit.

Anyways, I digress. Here’s my once potent lineup:
C A.J. Pierzynski
1B Mark Teixiera
2B Ben Zobrist
3B Kevin Youkilis
SS Elvis Andrus
OF Curtis Granderson
OF Denard Span
OF Juan Rivera
UT Rajai Davis

BN Chris Davis
BN Michael Young

SP Justin Verlander
SP Daisuke Matsuzaka
RP Jim Johnson
RP Jason Frasor
P Jered Weaver
P David Price
P Ervin Santana
BN Jeff Niemann
BN Brett Anderson
BN Tommy Hunter

considering what you lost....

your team is very good.
you had both Lee and Holliday? good job surviving that.

I haven’t lost or tied a week since May, we’ll see how this goes.
Good luck… kinda.
