Rangers close to acquiring Pudge

Per MLBTRADERUMORS.com

The Rangers are close to re-acquiring Ivan Rodriguez, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan. Sullivan says the Astros would acquire two mid-tier prospects for Rodriguez, who starred with the Rangers from 1991-2002. The Rangers have told Rodriguez that he will back Taylor Teagarden up and Pudge understands the arrangement,

I must say im happy...can care less who we get...did not like pudge so much...best of luck to him...

Im satisfied

Two mid tier prospects for Pudge? Works for me. So who is our everyday catcher? Q? Does Towles get brought up? Isn’t he on the DL? So many questions.

and if Towles doesn't get brought up

this is a down grade to the team. If Q is the starter, he grounds into just as many double plays as Pudge and has less power than Pudge. Keep in mind Pudge has driving in 34 runs this year. So idk how this will play out.

heard conflicting reports on PTBNL

apparently at least one is contingent on Rangers reaching post-season? perhaps other determined by Pudge’s individual performance?
