Miguel Tejada has a rare off day today...weird. My question is how does Kaz Matsui automatically go from batting 8th to 2nd??

Kaz is batting 2nd for the same reason Blum bats in front of Pence
Coop doesn’t know what he’s doing

Tejada not playing
Maybe Matsui can hit now that he reached 2000 hit plateau

I think it is internet connection and not MLB.TV
I restarted my computer and the internet took a while to come back. but picture improved.
it took enough time that Brewers scored two runs in my absence

I had to listen to the radio guys for the 1st inning....
and they seemed to think Lopez’s hit, which ended up scoring on the HR, was incredibly bad luck for Oswalt. They said he was dominating Lopez, and Lopez was late on the pitch and trying to just fight it off for a foul ball. Since I don’t have 100% confidence in the Astros’ radio duo, I’m not sure if that rings true with you that saw it.

Jordan Zimmerman of the Nationals
Rated a top prospect by BA, is just another example of an organization miss handling a young pitcher.
In 2007 he pitched 53 innings in A- ball in 2008 he pitched a total of 134 innings between A+ ball and AA. This year he got to 91.1 inning and was shut down with elbow issues. He’s going to miss 18 months. The Nationals had nothing to play for this year or any time in the immediate future.

Geoff Blum – All Star.

Looper
Berkman gets a 3-2 pitch that isn’t close
Lee gets plunked in the ribs
Blum gets served a fat one over the plate
d’oh is the nicest term I can use
Geoff Blum three run homerun
That’s why Blum bats in front of Hunter Pence
Astros lead 4-2
That’s almost forgot how to spell “lead”

probably foul…the only question I have from the replay is whether it hit the foul pole and ricocheted foul. The ball is lost when it is parallel to the pole and then you see it after it is past the pole.
replay here was pretty conclusive
looked to miss the pole by a bit and no evidence of changed direction

hmm...I think I'm wrong about that. Wikipedia says he was born in Arlington.
Maybe I’m thinking this because his family moved from Minnesota to Texas before he was born. I recall reading some local Minnesota newspaper account in 2007 interviewing his relatives in Minnesota (who were begging the Twins to trade for him).
SD/Cards
the guy who was traded over in the Peavy trade and isn’t too bad a pitcher walks Julio Lugo with 2 outs and bases loaded and now gets His Majesty. Nice move.
