I got some beer battered brats

there is a way they get cooked here
you boil them in beer and onions, put ’em on a bun, and put the onions on top.
Cooper on Sampson
Radio pre-game interview Cecil Cooper says he doesn’t think there is anything physically wrong with Chris Sampson except maybe some fatigue.
He says Sampson says he is healthy and ready to pitch, and he must go by that (that sounded tinny – Astros have doctors -trust them and not the player in this situation.!)

Another mental lapse
This time by Quintero who moved way off homeplate to catch the throw (that almost went over his head) from Pence.
Run scored
Of course Wandy’s two walks before the single hurt

I wonder if Quintero
Is scared to get hit by the Brewers, since Mike Cameron knocked him out the time before.

saw some Japanese media types in the front rows
broadcast here is letting me know all about the Golden Players Club
That was Matsui's manager from when he played in Japan
He will give Matsui a Blue coat when Matsui joins the Golden Players Club

Not sure it'd help

I thought maybe Kaz was going to argue and get thrown out....
on that called strike 3. That would have really pissed off all the Japanese media waiting for him to get his hit in this game.

Gaaahhhh
I miss the first bit of the game and when I come home…disaster. I’m going to go curl up into the fetal position now.
The Crawfishboxes
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
From McTaggart
Sampson was sent to Triple-A Round Rock following Thursday’s rough outing in Florida, and Cooper reiterated that he was told by Sampson and the training staff that the right-hander was healthy. Sampson says he hasn’t been 100 percent since coming off the disabled list.
Still, Cooper admitted that perhaps he could have not used him as much.
“I wish we could have given him more rest, maybe, early on and tried to avoid some of this,” he said.

oh, if only
there was somebody whose job it was to – I don’t know – manage how the players are used.

It's not like Sampson was a mysterious case either
He was coming off of an elbow surgery.
Why oh why did we have to give Coop an extension in April?!?!?!

Astros more disciplined than the Brewers
Astros wait until they have two outs to get their hits, and get no more than one hit an inning.
Brewers, on the other hand, get hits without regard to the numbee of outs or how many hits they’ve already had in the inning.

see, they're going to tire themselves out with all the running around the bases they're doing.

It might take awhile for major league hitters to get used to his delivery, which is one reason he might be successful as a platoon or short reliever.
If I recall BP’s discussion of his delivery, they said he is unique in throwing a rising fastball almost underhanded. Most underhanded pitchers throw sinkers. But he throws a high velocity fastball from an angle that BP thought almost defies physics.
