time for a change
It is time for a change it is clear Cecil Cooper has lost control of his clubhouse and pitching coach Dewey Robinson doent have the respect or credibility of his player so before the Astros fall to far out of it a change is NOW needed to return respect and credibility to the organization ...this is a veteran roster will proven winners we need leadership at the top and credibility from our pitching coach that the players believe in and will follow into battle with ..so bye bye Cecil and Dewey happy trails ......

leadership change
its time to get rid of the cancer in the clubhouse (Cecil Cooper) before its too late
Wait, What?
Fire the pitching coach? That’d be a dumb move. This club doesn’t need “shaking up” right now. And Dewey Robinson has been a better pitching coach than you’d think, and has been an integral part of developing the pitching program for the minor leaguers. Plus, it’s been a year since there were any rumblings about pitchers losing respect for him (and one of those guys was Brandon Backe), so it looks like he’s figured out how to relate a little bit better.
Cecil Cooper is not exactly the best manager, either from a tactical perspective or from a relationship-with-the-players point of view. But firing him right now would just be unnecessary drama that would distract the players.
the astros need a better farm system.
And they need to stop being so conservative during the offseason and during free agency. It’s starting to suck having to tell people i’m a lifelong astro fan. BIG PUMA, we need you to wake up your team!
Who Cares...
There is only one Houston Astros Baseball club, I dont see 29 other teams getting signed memorabilia taken up to the Hubble Telescope, Space Travel B*tches!

I agree (about NOT firing Coop)
Ive never been an overly big fan of Coop, BUT the Stros have been doing better lately, and with them right aroung .500 now would be among the worst times to fire him … i didnt say the worst, but among the worst …
and fire Dewey? The pitching has been doing really well as of late … to fire him would be to say it’s all in spite of him and I doubt that …
so I totally disagree with this poster … I also agree on Purpura..they waited way too long to get rid of him .. and fired Scrap Iron (Phil Garner) way too soon …
what's up the poll?
there is no yes or no..just the bubble by the question and the vote..
I intended to vote NO ..but there wasnt even that choice …
