Lance Berkman
As posted earlier, Lance is almost back if not back to his normal self...this brings up the question where shall he hit...the stros have won more with a whacky lineup with tejada or pence at 3 hole, other in 6 or 2 hole...berkman has hit really well in the 5 hole...so is he hitting well bcz:
a. just the 5 hole he likes?
b. Being after carlos helps?
c. the 6 hole hitter pence or tejada help him?
all this also makes us ask, will cooper keep him there bcz hes hitting well...or will we go back to bourn, tejada, berkman, lee, pence, lineup...
Now i really think our current lineup with kepp is good for us as kepp is a good decent hitter and tejada is too (for now)...but i believe tejada will cool off...
Personally, id like us to go back to berkman in the 3 hole with a lineup of this
Bourn, Kepp, Berkman, Lee, Pence, Tejada, Pudge, Matsui, SP...thos id rather maysonet over matsui or blum over matsui (and kepp playing 2nd), but thats another issue...
anyway what you guys think? (if this is what was posted just b4 im sorry, did not really read it but decided on making new topic rather than writing this as one reply)

I like the idea of Berkman in the 2 slot, but that will never happen. But I do like Berkman higher in the order because of his OBP, particularly when a RHP is starting. Maybe I would use Berkman at No. 3 versus RHP, but move him down to 5 versus LHP. Pence hits LHP well. So maybe Pence and Berkman trade places depending on the starting pitcher’s throwing hand.
To me the biggest challenge in putting together an Astros batting order is how to minimize the DPs. There are just too many GIDP-prone players. That’s one reason I don’t like Keppinger in the 2 slot. He is a high contact guy with not much speed, which leads to DPs. If Matsui could get his offense back on track, I would like to move him back to the No. 2 slot.
and he hits a HR
matsui that is…
coincidence he homers after this post?
