When will Backe give up 2+ Homers in a game (over/under in 5 games)?
I say 5 games. Backe is complete garbage, as he seems to mentally cashout sooner than most pitchers when confronted with adversity. What is wrong with him? It's so bad, that positional players are more deceptive and resilient when pitching -- Backe, though, is completely transparent, easily rattled. You would think it is that easy to trade him. But it's not. Why? I don't know Drayton McClane.
A propos of horrible pitching, I think Roy Oswalt and Backe both mentally checked in at the same loser hotel: The I'm not even embarrassed by my horrible pitching because we aren't really going anywhere anyways, and if we did, no would really care because I'm Roy-O (or Backe).

I don't understand why you think it would be easy to trade Backe.
If you think he is that bad, than certainly other teams are aware of how bad he is pitching. I suspect that he is pretty close to being designated for assignment. I don’t know if he will be given any more rope or not. I always liked Backe’s mental toughness in his pre-surgery years. I think last season has beaten him down mentally. He is not his usual excited, cocky self. I think this is just an example of the game humbling a player.
yeah, it's sad to see
And, no, there is no way to trade him. If a team really wants Backe that bad, they’re just going to wait until he’s cut.

Over the past two seasons
Backe has averaged giving up a homer every 2 innings he pitches. This would suggest that he would be expected to give up 2 homers in the next 4 innings he pitches.
