If we can't win this game, with Roy Oswalt on the mound, then I don't know what it will take for the Astros to end their skid.  Matsui has the night off with Maysonet filling in.  Boy oh boy do I miss Drew Sutton right about....NOW.  Please baseball gods, throw us this bone.  For the umpteenth time, it feels like, why on Earth Jeff Keppinger burried in the line up?! He still has a .763 OPS vs. RHP this year.

Where would you put Keppinger?

1-5 seem set.

I look at that line-up and think the Astros should be unbeatable, not one the dregs of the National League.

In semi-related question, how do you see the Roy Oswalt pitching to Micah Owings coming out??

Strange Baserunning fiasco

Maysonet on second when Tejada singles to right. Maysonet held at third . Tejada hauls toward second, gets caught in rundown, waves Maysonet to go home. Maysonet stays at third. Tejada tagged out at first . Tejada is angry and squawks to Cruz.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cruz and Clark weren't on the same page.

JD said that, frequently in that situation, the 1st base coach will tell the runner to keep going on the assumption that the runner will be waved home. But Clark made Maysonnet put the breaks on at 3d. Tejada seemed upset with Cruz.
