Milwaukee Brewers at Houston Astros, May 20, 2009 7:05 PM CDT
As HLP previewed for us this morning, tonight should be an epic pitching duel between two of the best young (does Wandy count as young?) right handers in the NL-Central. The bad feeling I have in my gut is that whenever I'm super excited for a match up like this, it devolves into something less than pitchers duel. Either way, I'll be finding a TV to park myself in front of to catch every pitch of this.

Prince Fielder on a 3-2 pitch with Ryan Braun on 1st, and 2 outs...

A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Mike Cameron
grounds out to Blum at third base, he throws across the diamond to cut him down. end of the inning.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Ed Romero and or Cecil Cooper
gave the wrong lineup to the umpire, Michael Bourn was leading off, apparently the Ken Macha (Brewers) had a lineup with Kazuo Matsui leading off… Michael Bourn singled on a 1-0 pitch to start the inning off.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Massive screw up by Cooper
He turned in the wrong lineup card. Bourn singled. Macha came out and pointed out that the wrong lineup card was sent out. Matsui called out. Bourn loses single and comes back to bat.
Someone on brewcrewball asked how Cooper can have a job tomorrow.
When Macha came out, and they panned to Cooper in the dugout...
Cooper was sifting through a stack of lineup papers, and then you saw him pound the table top. At that point, I realized that Macha would be right.
I appreciate JD and Brownie...
trying to say it’s just a “human mistake,” but how is this not the most basic part of a manager’s job?
lol
classic move…i like the idea of bourn going 1 and matsui 2, but they didnt get it right tonite

Hunter Pence on a 1-2 pitch...
bounces a ball directly above the 2nd base bag, the 2nd basemen steps on the bag, and easily throws out Pence, end of the inning.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Wandy getting a lot of grounders to the leftside of the infield
Blum is doing a good job in the field.
Lineup card
Is Kaz still batting 1st? Or does Bourn stay atop the order?
Anyone know?
Chris Holt
great to hear that name again
ahhh back when we had pitching
Berkman walked, Lee got a hit...looked like a double...
but Berkman stumbled over 2d and Lee had to stay at 1st.
McGehee with single in front of Lee.
Ball was hit hard, but landed just in front of Lee. If he were a bit quicker….
Sorry Astros fans...
had to pick up my buddy from work, I got to watch Wandy’s RBI single though… and saw that HP got a triple… How beautiful was it?
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
much appreciated...
I figured it had to happen some way similar to how you mentioned it.

Darin you look awful this season...
where are your pinch hit 3-run homeruns like you displayed in San Francisco last year?
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.

Arias' delivery changed after 2 on base.....
I could tell a way wide pitch was coming, watching his feet during the delivery.
was it just me...
or did he look like he was falling of to the first base side?

A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
How many K's in Kendall?

A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Jason Kendall on an 1-2 pitch with bases loaded and nobody out...
