Around SBN: The Slow Decline of Duke

The Astros signed 37 year old veteran ML reliever Brendan Donnelly to a AAA contract. Donnelly's recent stats are shown here. Donnelly was at one time an All Star quality late inning reliever, but has been attempting a comeback from injury in recent years. The Chronicle's fanblog says that Hensley has been released by Round Rock.

eh...a AAA contract, not so bad.

This is called: roll the dice and see if he performs or not. If he doesn’t, no harm done. Wade did this last year with Ray King, who never saw the major league roster.
