Bush currently owns a 4.86 FIP and 4.79 tRA*, while Hampton currently owns a 4.46 FIP and 4.78 tRA*.  Those are not sterling numbers for either starter, but come on: it's Dave Bush.

The line up will be unavailable as I am about to hop in my car and drive from Kingwood to Georgetown, so I offer my apologies.

I mean seriously...it's Dave Bush.

Scoring the first run was a lot of fun.

Bourn looked like a waterbug halfback squeezing past the big ol’ defensive tackle, in this case Fielder, to get back to 1st base on the pick off. The at bats by Lee and Tejada bring us down off that high.

Tuned in to Cubs game for a few minutes.

Brendan Ryan is playing shortstop (Khalil Greene is on the bench due to anxiety and self-mutilation issues). Ryan’s uniform looks different than the other Cards. He has these high red striped stockings up to his knees. I guess it isn’t much different than Pence with his old time look, but the red stripes makes it stand out.

by ol Pete on May 19, 2009 9:19 PM CDT up reply actions

you wonder why that doesn't violate league rules.

all players are supposed to have the same uniform.

(Of course, the Nationals’ players couldn’t help it some of them were issued uniforms with “Nationals” misspelled.)

Is anyone kind of upset he got pulled from the cut after four innings from injuring it on a soap dispenser? If I’m Nolan Ryan, I’m playing through something like that. I know blisters and cuts can severely affect the ball release, but come on.
