Bush currently owns a 4.86 FIP and 4.79 tRA*, while Hampton currently owns a 4.46 FIP and 4.78 tRA*. Those are not sterling numbers for either starter, but come on: it's Dave Bush.
The line up will be unavailable as I am about to hop in my car and drive from Kingwood to Georgetown, so I offer my apologies.
I mean seriously...it's Dave Bush.

Michael Bourn on a 2-0 pitch...
drops a bunt down infront of the dish, bunt single, Kaz to third.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Michael Bourn
escapes a rundown between first and 2nd base, Matsui scores…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
1-0 Astros
Carlos Lee takes one low and outside, first and second no outs.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Carlos Lee on a 1-0 pitch...
grounds into a 5-4-3 double play, Bourn to third.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Miguel Tejada....
swings first pitch, Bush fields it on a hop, throws to Fielder, end of the inning.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Scoring the first run was a lot of fun.
Bourn looked like a waterbug halfback squeezing past the big ol’ defensive tackle, in this case Fielder, to get back to 1st base on the pick off. The at bats by Lee and Tejada bring us down off that high.
J.J. Hardy flies out to Hunter Pence...
near the warning track, end of the inning,
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
I have to vote for a special election...
here in California, be back soon.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
FSN Wisconsin
showed the Pudge HR in Chicago. Funny to hear the booing. I heard on the radio that Pudge said something like he was glad he hit it there because he knew they would throw it back.
I guess he didn't read my advice in the other thread...
Astros’ pitchers cannot afford walks against the Brewers.
Michael Bourn on a 2-2 pitch...
rolls out to Prince and nearly beats him to the bag, end of the inning,
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Hardy
lined one right past the face of Hampton on into CF, Fielder scores from 2nd, 2-1 Brewers…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Hunter Pence...
broken bat, Clark is wise and holds Lee at 3rd. Bases Loaded.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Corey Hart on a 1-2 pitch with Dave Bush on 1st...
flies out to Hunter Pence… 2 outs.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Bill Hall on a 2-2 pitch with 2 outs, and Dave Bush on 1st...
strikes out swinging.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Russ Ortiz
reaches the crawford boxes, leads off the bottom of the 5th with a homerun!!!
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Lance Berkman on a 1-0 pitch...
flies out to left center, Braun fields it… 2 outs.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Dammit. Ortiz
I hate the way he pitches out like that so much. It’s like he’s scared of getting close.
Prince Fielder on a 3-2 pitch...
walks… Braun on 2nd, Fielder on 1st… Mike Cameron stepping in.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Mike Cameron on an 1-2 pitch...
hits a pop fly, Lance Berkman over his left shoulder makes the grabs ranging back into shallow right field, 1 out.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Rivera on a 2-1 pitch...
singles into CF, Fielder gets the stop sign at third… bases loaded…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Sac Fly from the no. 8 hitter...
throw cut off, Fielder scores… 4-2 Brewers…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
I had to run some errands, listen to radio guys...
and they were complaining about the Astros’ outfielders’ poor throws. They said 3 runs should have been thrown out at the plate, but all the throws were bad. They said the 3d base coach of the Brewers seemed tentative on all of those calls.
Darin Erstad on an 1-2 pitch, with Tejada on 2nd, Pence on 1st, and 2 outs...
flies out to Hart… end of the inning.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
"Menacing Stare"
is the store of the Astros pinch hitting this season… Oh Why didn’t we sign Loretta?
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Piniero about 80 pitches through 8 innings shutting out the Cubs so far
Cubs have their closer, Gregg, pitching in the bottom of the 8th.
missed the final out...
because apparently, Dancing with the Stars is more important than a 1-2-3 Astros inning.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Thanks Clack...

Michael Bourn on a 0-2 pitch...
called strike three on the outside corner…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Tuned in to Cubs game for a few minutes.
Brendan Ryan is playing shortstop (Khalil Greene is on the bench due to anxiety and self-mutilation issues). Ryan’s uniform looks different than the other Cards. He has these high red striped stockings up to his knees. I guess it isn’t much different than Pence with his old time look, but the red stripes makes it stand out.
you wonder why that doesn't violate league rules.
all players are supposed to have the same uniform.
(Of course, the Nationals’ players couldn’t help it some of them were issued uniforms with “Nationals” misspelled.)
Lance Berkman on an 0-2 pitch...
swings at a ball in the dirt, catcher recovers throws him out.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Ok
I’m too lazy to go through the comments: What happened to Hampton?
The Crawfishboxes
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
Oh
Phew!!

Blum with an awesome diving play to his left...
in time to retire Cameron…

Russ Ortiz hit a HR?!

Yes, he was sitting on a first pitch fastball
and it reached the Crawford boxes.

yeah....otherwise the offense consisted of a run on a steal of home by Matsui....
which occurred when Bourn got past a pick off attempt.
Ridiculous

Rookie Matt Gamel...
who hit his first homerun yesterday against the Red Birds, which I witnessed, was a three-run homerun… but Fulchino gets him to pop out to Carlos Lee…
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Jason Michaels...
swings at the first pitch… flies out to Prince Fielder, 2 down.
A Walk Is As Good As A Hit.
Hampton
Is anyone kind of upset he got pulled from the cut after four innings from injuring it on a soap dispenser? If I’m Nolan Ryan, I’m playing through something like that. I know blisters and cuts can severely affect the ball release, but come on.
