Around SBN: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez Heats Up, Hughes Talks Retirement

The Astros have a few things not go well

Things that didn't go well tonight:

  • Offense - Lance Berkman struck out looking three times in a row.  He's struggling so bad he tried to bunt for a hit, but couldn't even do that well.
  • Healthy players - Q got CLOCKED at the plate (see above).  Apparently Quintero has a strained right shoulder (JR Towles, back your things).  Lee may have tweaked something as he made an early exit in the seventh.
  • Holding onto leads.
  • Winning a baseball game.

WARNING: Singles can be deadly.

Box Score and the works, here.

Man…looking at the still photos from the home plate collision on the chron website, if you advance through the first three frames, it looks like Cameron tried to take Q’s head off with his elbow.
