First Trip To Minute Maid

good for a win. Beautiful ballpark, enjoyed the sights as early as possible via pre-game tour. The signage for where the tour was to be beginning at was non-existent, it took the help of a friendly Astros usher in a "Hover-round" to get me in the right place. For those of you who haven't been on the tour, I strongly recommend it. All-in-all great game, I believe that Roy O. may be injured and not saying it. Coop was slow on pulling him from the game after surrending the back-to-back homeruns by Ramirez and Ethier, and a fast-forward to the bottom of the 8th, sacrificing my voice for a victory, leading chants of "Lets Go Astros" and "Beat L.A." The Astros put pressure on Belisario "Beli-Sorry-O" Hey, my fellow Astros fans, need to make some more noise! Also, the "Beat L.A. chant", dont look so confused, it must be remembered!
Nicest ballpark I have visited, parks in the running include, Petco Park (San Diego), AT&T Park (San Francisco), Chase Field (Arizona), Angel Stadium (Anaheim), and the old sanctuary of Mr. Padre (T. Gwynn), Jack Murphy/Qualcomm (San Diego). Astros 10th inning show, fail. Bring your brooms tomorrow, unfortunately, I am not going to the game, but I will see you all Fri, Sat, Sun, versus the Brew Crew.

I doubt that Oswalt is injured.

He pitched well in his last game. And he was pitching one of his better games early this one. He does seem to be hitting a wall sometime around the 6th inning. I’m not sure why. Perhaps he didn’t get enough work in, due to the WBC, and he is still getting fatigued. However, his velocity was still very good in that inning. Perhaps he hasn’t been mixing in his curveballs or other breaking pitches enough that by the time he gets to the middle innings, the opposition is zeroing in on his fastball. It would be interesting for someone to analyzie his pitch selection in the 5th and 6th inning.

1st time this season

Technically, the first time this season I visited Minute Maid was an exhibition game against the Indians. Now, the Astros lost and it was still spring training so I don’t count it.

However, I did go to the only game against the Reds that we won.

There is no place like Minute Maid Park. I can’t describe it, you just have to go.

HighLeveragePerformer...

Sadly, I do not own an Iphone, or there would be considerations in the works. See you all tomorrow, lets win game one!
