Done Deal of Lindstrom
Brian McTaggart tweets that we'll send Robert Bono, IF Luis Bryan, a player to be named later for Lindstrom. Bono was one of the Lexington rotation that performed well this year. Bono was successful in Lex but he wasn't one of the great upside pitchers. I don't know much about Bryan. But, not a bad deal in my opinion, it leaves a lot of room for 3rd base and possibly a reclamation project for the rotation.

Robert Bono
I was a big fan. Seemed really solid – might notta missed alotta bats (66 Ks), but he also only walked 19 in 144 innings. FIP of 3.23…oh well. Hopefully Lindstrom will be good.
The Bryan kid is a shortstop who’s 19 years old, hit .340 in rookie ball, struck out 19 times, no BBs, BABIP of .411 so probably pretty flukey. Seems like a loss I can deal with.
The PTBNL is the Astros first pick in the Rule V draft.

Sadly…But most teams don’t take anyone in the draft and we may still get someone in the second round. Also Lindstrom is cheaper than Hawk would have been leaving more cash for 3rd base.
I liked Bono but he was the 4th best pitcher from lexington behind the obvious lyles and seaton. But, he’ll be 22 in 3 days and and Brad Dydalewicz is younger with a higher krate but higher BB rate as well. So as far as upside, he was the 4th. So he is a marginal loss. With Luis Bryan, great season without a doubt but the sample size is still small and his 08 performance in the dominican summer league was horrible. It would have been nice to see him more but its not a major loss with Mier and Wikoff ahead of him.
