Ivan Rodriguez signs 2 year contract with the Washington Nationals
Remember when the Rangers traded for Pudge and we were like...Wow, we got something for Pudge!?
Imagine how the Rangers feel now ,as a supplemental first round draft pick heads to Arlington. Here is what the folks at Lone Star Ball have to say about I-Rod being signed to a two year contract. Interesting decision on the part of the Nats to say the least.

another signing...Penny to the Cards...
He will get $7.5 million, plus incentives up to $9 million. Does this seem high? I assumed Penny would be worth maybe $4 million plus incentives. His arm problems seem like a risk. Of course, with Duncan as his coach, he may turn out to be a real find, who knows. Any other thoughts?

It does seem a little high, and I worry that it will raise the price of the rest of the starting pitchers this winter by precedent.

He's a first half pitcher
maybe Duncan can change that trend.
