Castro, three other minor leaguers invited to Spring Training
Bud Norris, Chris Johnson and Lou Santangelo are the other three that will be given an opportunity to show their stuff. Castro doesn't stand much of a chance to make the club, but Norris is one guy to keep an eye on. The article notes his 1.89 ERA in the Arizona Fall League, but his strikeout and walk totals weren't all that stellar.

Bud Norris
It’s tough to find any GB/FB stats on minor leaguers, but BPro says he’s a slight grounball pitcher. And he doesn’t have too high of a WHIP or HR/9, so that evaluation makes sense, even though he doesn’t strike out many guys. So I wouldn’t worry too much about the gap between his K rate and ERA.

you can get groundball rates at firstinning.com
Here is Norris: http://firstinning.com/players/Bud-Norris-a/
He appears to have a pretty good groundball rate. Subsequent to his first minor league season, he seems to hover around the 50% groundball rate, similar to Oswalt.

good points
i realize i was just going off a really small sample size (in regard to his AFL K:BB ratio) and I’m glad to see my pessimism isn’t all that warranted..
