Cubs sign Milton Bradley to 3 year deal
When Texas signed him last year I liked it, despite his history of injuries. The Cubs signed him today, and I still like it...I just wish it wasn't these guys who picked him up. He's a switch hitter who mashes left handers and isn't terrible against righties. He will platoon with Kosuke Fukudome in RF, who despite his All Star appearance, was just about average against both left and right handed pitchers.

Yeah, I agree that 3 X $10 million is too much for Bradley.
And I say that, despite the fact that I like what Bradley brings in terms of talent. He could turn out to be very productive in Chicago. But he is a risk, and $30 million could come back to bite the Cubs. Bradley hasn’t been the same defensive player since his knee injury in San Diego, and he won’t have the DH position to fall back on, like he did in Ranger land. I think Bradley will wear out his welcome unless he finds a nice tranquil team to deal with his personality. The Cubs (and Piniella) don’t fit that description.
