We need a dedicated page with salary figures

Since we all think Wade and Drayton are full of shit with their $107m payroll figure, I think someone needs to make an easily accessible page here with all the AStros' salary figures. It should have a column for garuanteed money and colomn for garuanteed plus incentives. And then at the bottom it has the totals - one for each the 25 man roster and 40 man roster. For example (i'm making up the numbers)

Player          Salary   Potential Salary
Berkman     $15m    $17m
Lee               $18m    $18.5m
Minor 1         $400k   $500k
Minor 2         $400k   $600k
-----------------------------------------------
Total (25)      $33m     $35.5m
Total (40)     $33.8m   $36.6

I would do myself, but I can only make a fanpost and I have no idea how salary works for guys not on the 25 man roster, but are on the 40 man roster.

Then we can see what the real numbers are.

Maybe Astro Andy will put something together.

He seemed to have a good start on that already. I think the confusing thing about the $107 Million is that we don’t know if somehow the full 40 man roster is included, or if some assumption is made to add NRI players (like Ortiz).

Thank you

I’m swamped.

Also entropic, if you post a Fan Post, we can move it to the front page. So if you (or anyone) is proud of something they write and we miss it, shoot me an email and it’ll get done.

This is a really good idea though and such a no brainer.

A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Another though

If you want to just through all the numbers in a spreadsheet, I can import that into a table and post that up. Kind of a you save me time, I save you time deal…eh?
