Complete Coverage >

Entering todays action, the Astros hold a elimination number of 14 and a BPro scheduled adjusted playoff odds of 1.54287%.

De La Rosa has been a case study in "on or off" this year, which has me hoping that he is off.  His season ERA+ is an 89, 11% below league average (adjusted for park effects, opponents, etc.).

Wandy has continued to show his distinct home/road splits, but this year the gap isn't a great.  Luckily for Astros fans, Wandy has a 4.42 ERA on the road to De La Rosa's 4.52 ERA at home.  Overall, Wandy is sporting an ERA+ of 113, 13% above league average.

Sorry this game thread is so devoid of all the normal widgets, there seems to be some sort of a glitch which has made a lot of them unusable or not up to date.  Astros fans need a rubber game victory out of the Wandy lead Astros and Chris Young to out duel Manny Parra.

Mark Loretta doubled

Two good days in a row at the plate. Maybe he’ll get more playing time. Can he pay left?

His oblique

A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm switching to radio to see if they know why Wandy left the game

Jack Cassel to picth (His brother took over from Tom Brady in New England Pariots football game today)

They say Wandy injured (Reaggravated an injury but they don’t say what it is, and I don’t remember)
