Atlanta Braves at Houston Astros, Sep 28, 2008 1:05 PM CDT
Wandy has had a pretty good season so far and has shown this season that he deserves to be in the rotation(if he can just stay healthy). A win today and Wandy will have his first ever winning season in the bigs.
A win today for the Astros and they will finish with 86 wins and 11 games over .500. Pretty good season for the most parts and a great improvement over last years 73-89 record. This season will also finish with the Astros having the most wins in a season since they went to the World Series in 2005.
So I just got finished watching "The Rookie" and I'm ready for baseball!!! Game on!

So how do you feel about
my20 broadcasting the Sunday games? I’d much prefer FSN broadcasting them, but my20 wasn’t too bad after a few shortcomings earlier in the season.

I like my20 broadcasts
because it’s the only time I can watch games in HD.
I don’t have digital cable or satellite but I have an HD TV … :(

Wandy is still pitching in the seventh
A stark contrast to Brandon Backe’s stint yesterday.

I posted a reply
to this that somehow didn’t go through—if it shows up, I apologize for the double post. Was at the game today, front row behind the bullpen, and some guys next to me got into a discussion with Hawkins and he made it sound like he was probably coming back.
I'm not sure I've ever seen what happened to Newhan before
Gets in a run down and then when they go to tag him out, the ball gets knocked out of the glove… Not on a swipe tag like that…

Great effort by Newhan
Why didn’t Loretta run? Wouldn’t that have been the point of occupying those guys for so long? I was wondering if there was any insight on that from the TV broadcast.
Probably because they kept
watching Loretta and he’s slow… they probably would have thrown him out had he gone home during the run down… now after the tag and the ball went flying.. I think he probably could have made it then.

Game Over : Season Over
Astros win 3-1, capped off by a nice play by Castillo(made it look harder than it was) falling into the Braves dugout

149 now.
We should have a count down.
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm working on it(the countdown that is)
I tried to get one when we were at 151 days but the timer I wanted to use was broken so I am having the programmer fix it.. once it’s fixed, I’ll add it :)

Yeah
I tried playing around with some java script stuff online to generate one and I had the same problem. I was hoping I could just send it along your way and we’d have that awesomeness. I wonder if we were working with the same one? It was from Yahoo!
It’s so awesome to be in place that has programers. Thank you programers for allowing the guys with who are way to opinionated look slick standing on their electronic soap box.

Hooray programmers
I may have been a little rough on them when the new layout first came out… But having discovered all the cool features plus the fact it can make DQ look “slick”!, the whole system works very well indeed.
