The real question is
Why did Drayton not fight it tooth and nail… go to the media and show that he did not agree with the decision as soon as the games were scheduled. That’s what he should have done and nto come out with a quote like this after we got our asses handed to us..

I wonder
I wonder what neutral site wasn’t going to be a “home” game for the Cubs? If these games were in a place like Arizona, you could have had 30,000 Cub fans. There was two options; 1. delay the games until the end of the season, 2. re-schedule. MLB wasn’t going to screw up their playoff coverage, and the Cub fans would have mobbed ANY selected park. This wasn’t a Milwaukee thing, Cub fans are everywhere.

It wouldn't have been 30,000 Cubs fans any where else besides Milwaukee
I agree that Cubs have a stronger following nation wide than the Astros… But you’re asinine if you think 30K cubs fans would have shown up at ANY selected park
it wasn’t even a 2 hour drive… It takes longer (A LOT LONGER)for me to drive half way across texas than it would be to make that game from Chicago.
