Houston Astros at Milwaukee Brewers, Aug 19, 2008 7:05 PM CDT
This is called, leaving out important information to tell the truth and make something that is not as good as something else, look better than that something else.... (Huh?)
We don't need Ben Sheets!! We have a better pitcher in Brian Moehler... Moehler has less losses than Sheets... Moehler has also allowed fewer hits, runs scored and walks while having a better win % than Ben Sheets... Who needs Sheets when we have Moehler!!!
There, if I give any other stats, I'm afraid I will ruin my arguement for Brian Moehler.
The Astros need to win the final 2 games in the series or they can just stick their heads between their legs and kiss their playoff butt's good bye.
AHHHH!!! We need to win a game, and we put out a TERRIBLE lineup... Wow.... Looks like we're mailing this season in now.... I don't mind Wigginton batting 3rd in his current hot streak, but I'd still rather see him 2nd or 4th and Berkman 3rd... Tejada is still our best short stop so he should be playing in such an "important" game as today... Newhan shouldn't be in the league....

The stat's you just named
Are all counting stats. Moehler has thrown 50 IP less than Sheets. I would hope that’d he’d have less hits, walks, and runs allowed. Also, Win % is meaningless.
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
sorry
i missed the context of the sarcasm…my bad. skim reading can be dangerous.

It feels so good to be home and here everyone's voice.
I never thought I’d miss JD and Brownie and Greg Lucas so much.

Kapler nice catch to end Wiggy's at bat
Wigginton reached out and looped one to left, Kapler made a nice diving catch to end the inning.

Sheets was a good All Star
But he’ll be our All Star next year. :)

Could be
I read Roy O is going to talk to him tonight. I got a kick out of the line that it would be all right with Berkman. You think?
I read somewhere...
That Oswalt, Berkman, Peavy and Sheets have been hunting together in the past two offseason. Not sure if that’s true.

Yeah, but it was a double and he scored, didn't he?

Moehler walking a tightrope tonight
He’s been one pitch from disaster the whole game it seems.
But he has escaped so far.
And Sheets getting himself in trouble now too.
