I have Braves game on without the sound, I looked up at the screen. Catchign my eye wa wa ofical pacard on the all saying “Skip caray Broadcast Booth.” I wonder if the Braves have officially named the booth afer Skip Caray. That would be neat.

Astros probably would name theirs something like “Jimmy Dean Sauage Broadcast Booth.”

Catching my eye was an official placard (8 foot by 4 foot maybe) on the wall saying “Skip Caray Braodcast Booth.”

harang tonight on my fantasy team. i was hoping he’d recover the magic, but it seems like he must really be hurt. damn.

Sadly Hunter Pence bats next.

He was pleading with Astros management to keep Backe in the rotation next year. His argument seemed to be: you can ignore his numbers because of his fiery competitiveness. I like Backe’s competitive spirit as much as anybody. But if that alone is enough to keep a player in the rotation, Woody Williams would still be on the team. The more I see of Backe this season, the more I doubt his future as a starter.

When he came up I thought, how cool it would be if a kid pitcher who grew up as an Astros fan became an Astros star himself. Well, as much as the hometown flava makes folks want to give Backe a break, the game is about winning.
