heard them talking about this saying that the umpire( can’t remember who it was) wasn’t sure what to do had the ball just stayed on the the wall… I also heard them say that they might need to have a rule created for such occasion..

I’m pretty sure a ball sitting on top of the wall would be considered a live ball.. A player would have to field it off the top of the wall.. if the player while trying to field it were to knock it over the fence, then I think it would be considered a home run… otherwise.. it’s just a live ball.
