Backe is terrible.

I officially give up on him.

When I saw him starting this game, I knew we would lose. And he’s immediately proving me right. I’m done with Backe.

Gee

I don’t know what to say. Have a little faith. Let’s see how the next few innings go.

Billingsley

9 up 9 down in the first three innings. I don’t recall a single respectable at-bat by any Astro.

Another strikeout for Backe

Let’s hope the Astros do better the second time through the line-up as they come to bat in the bottom of the fourth.

Dodgers hitting the ball hard this inning

Even the outs. I think maybe this is Backe’s last inning.

Here's what happened

Fly ball to Carlso Lee for the out.

Runners were on the move. Lee throws to Loretta at second. Loretta pulled off second to make teh catch. He had plenty of time to tag second but instead tried to get the runner going back to first .

Runer safe at first. Runner returnes to second safely, just before Berkman’s throw back to second..

Astros are in fifth place by the way

Pirates passed him after last night’s games. Today’s game is not helping the cause either.

Little defeat.
And Puma struck out looking with a runner on.

Astros don't score either.

I must leave temporarily. I may miss the ninth, I’m not expecting a comeback though. Maybe Wigginton will spark the team when he returns,.

Brocail thrown out due to his temper

He yelled at what appeared to be himself after what looked to be a high strike called ball… umpire immediately threw him out of the game.
